Deputy CEO Directorate

Working with the regions, the Deputy CEO Directorate will be responsible for: 
• improving services and outcomes for patients through national service transformation programmes 
• supporting local systems to transform into integrated care systems 
• creating and ensuring delivery of the digital strategy and plan for the NHS alongside NHS Digital 
• leading the development of data, tools and products and providing professional leadership for analytical services across our organisations 
• delivering national commissioning of specialised services
• overseeing the quality and efficiency of commissioning support units (CSUs).


Key functions will be:
• primary care commissioning, transformation, workforce and estates
• public health commissioning
• specialised commissioning including commercial medicines
• data and analytics
• digital
• service transformation programmes
• system transformation through the regions, STPs and ICSs
• CSUs
• emergency preparedness resilience and response (EPRR)
• integration of functions including Better Care Fund (BCF) and NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC).
