National Centre for Creative Health
  • The National Centre for Creative Health  (NCCH) will advance good practice and research, inform policy and promote collaboration, helping foster the conditions for creative health to be integral to health and social care and wider systems.
  • It was formed in response to the Creative Health report, the result of a two-year inquiry led by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing. 
  • NCCH priorities are: health inequalities; advancing good practice and research; informing policy; and promoting collaboration. NCCH are working with to create place-based ‘Hubs’, develop partnership and collaboration ‘Hives’ and co-produce creative learning in ‘Huddles’. 
  • Evaluation of activities will be based on the NCCH Theory of Change.

  • National monitoring tool that brings together metrics to assess the wider impacts of COVID-19 on health. The monitoring tool collates metrics across a range of wider impacts to provide stakeholders with a single point of access. 
  • The tool will be updated weekly and may include the addition of new metrics as they become available or data updates to metrics already included in the tool.

  • The findings reported here are from an analysis of data from the Understanding Society Survey (USS) which follows a large sample of people from across Britain over time. 
  • This study was undertaken to examine questions likely to be especially relevant for those working in the field of public health intelligence, using small area statistics to identify localities where interventions may particularly need to be targeted in order to reduce inequalities in wellbeing across England.

  • The conclusion sets out actions and opportunities for the NHS to harness its considerable influence to have an even greater impact on the health and wellbeing of communities.

  • The framework, which focuses on organisational enablers and health interventions, is an interactive document which makes the case for staff health and wellbeing, setting out clear actionable steps and providing guidance on how organisations can plan and deliver a staff health and wellbeing plan.
