- In response to the National LGBT survey, this LGBT Action Plan outlines firm commitments to tackle some of the biggest issues facing LGBT people.
- Actions relating to healthcare include:
- appointment of a National Adviser to lead improvements to LGBT healthcare. The National Adviser will focus on reducing the heath inequalities that LGBT people face,
- enhance fertility services for LGBT people.
- support improved monitoring of sexual orientation and gender identity in healthcare services to enable better patient care
- support for LGBT people with learning disabilities.
